Product Review – We-Vibe Wish

I wanted the We-Vibe Wish from the first time I saw it. I had read the mixed reviews, but still wanted to form my own opinion of it. That is why I jumped at the chance to review one for Betty’s Toy Box. I received this toy free in exchange for my honest review.

The Packaging

The Wish comes in a pretty box with a matching color watercolor background. As with all We-Vibe toys, the Wish comes with a satin carrying pouch, charging cord, and instruction guide booklet.

The Toy

The Wish is a beautiful toy. It fits nicely in my hand and against my vulva (or anywhere else you want to lay it against). It is the prettiest shade of sky blue, waterproof, soft and squishy, and it had so much potential. I will try to refrain from making too many puns about the name.

The Wish is great in theory, as it has two motors, creating a “PowerPulse” technology. Unfortunately, the two motors just were not my cup of tea. Personally, I am not a fan of patterned vibrations. I like steady vibrations, usually on the highest speed available. The two motors and the PowerPulse pattern they create feel like a pattern more than just a steady vibration. The best way I can describe how patterns make me feel is “distracting.” The Wish is very distracting, as one motor will kind of skip if too much pressure is applied against the toy. The Wish charges via magnet, and an hour and a half charge will give up to 2 two hours of play.

There are 10 premade settings for the Wish, but using the app will enable you to create your own patterns. The Wish can be turned on by holding down the only button on the toy. To change vibration patterns, press the button again until you find one that you like. To turn it off, hold the button for a few seconds again. When you turn it back on, the toy will start at the setting it was turned off at.

The App

You can download the “We-Connect” app on your android or iPhone to control the toy via BlueTooth. I had been having trouble with the app, as it has been a bit buggy, but it seemed better this time around. With the app, you can manually choose your patterns, make your own, and even connect via Wi-Fi to a partner that has the app. Your partner can then control the toy, making their own patterns or using the pre-made ones. There is also a video chat, voice chat, and text chat feature that feels cleaner than Skype.

Overall

Overall, this is a great toy if you like patterns. I personally do not like patterns in vibrators, so I am sad to say that it was not for me. I wish it was not so. The two motors make it sound like it has potential, but unfortunately they do not feel synced and become quite distracting. The Wish is fairly quiet, which is a big plus. I honestly do not want to give up on this toy just yet, and will definitely keep trying it. I will update this review if I can get it to work for me. It is a beautiful toy. Thank you Betty’s Toy Box for giving me the chance to try it. For now, I will give it 2 out of 5 stars.
